Scouts and Non-Profit Groups

At Paint Glaze & Fire, your scout troop or non-profit group can learn all about the ceramic process while creating your own masterpieces. Discounted rates and/or children's party packages are available to scouts and all other non-profit organizations.

Our scouting program includes activities that satisfy requirements for Brownie Try-Its, the Junior Clay and Ceramics Badge, and Cadette Skill Builders. Scouts can make beautiful items for themselves or to give as gifts!

Workshop activities include:

  1. A verbal introduction and explanation of ceramics and different ways of working with clay.
  2. A tour of the studio including the kiln room.
  3. Instruction on different painting techniques, brush strokes and glaze application
  4. Glaze decorating a piece of pottery using stencils, stamps, sponges and other design tools

Scout workshops can be scheduled during our regular studio hours and typically run for 90 minutes.
